Our team completed this comprehensive exterior painting of a Watermill in the Summer of 2021.During its lifetime the Mill offered work directly and indirectly to thousands of local people over a period of hundreds of years, having a family history local to the area dating back to the 17C its quite likely some of my ancestors benefitted from the economy of the Mill maybe some worked in or on the Mill as I am now.

Preparation and Detailed Process
Preparation is the most vital stage of any exterior project. This is especially true for listed buildings. Therefore, before applying any paint, we carefully removed all flaking layers. Next, we stabilized the woodwork and repaired the weatherboards and sills. Ultimately, this painstaking work ensures maximum adhesion for the new coatings.
Premium Materials Specified
To guarantee an enduring finish that meets the high standards required for the exterior painting of a watermill we selected the following premium materials.
Applying the Traditional Finish
We completed the exterior painting of this Watermill using a meticulous application process. We finished the Weatherboards, Windows, Gables, and Doors in traditional Oil Based White Gloss, keeping the building in form with how it would have originally been finished. The rich, deep lustre of the oil-based gloss is essential for achieving the period-correct look while offering superior water resistance and protection from the elements.
The successful completion of this Exterior Painting of a Watermill project ensures that this historic local landmark is well-protected for many years to come. By blending traditional materials with expert application, we delivered a long-lasting, high-end finish that respects the structure’s Grade II Listed status.
