Wallpapering this Period Lounge required extensive work, an interesting note, once the old Wallpaper was removed a signature was found from the previous decorator dated May 23rd 1940 !

The Walls at sometime had been previously painted a deep red, these were then sealed and filled then cross lined with 1200 grade lining paper before hanging the finished Wallpaper.

All woodwork had yellowed with age and was undercoated using Crown Oil Based Undercoat and Crown Full Trade Gloss.

Materials Used

Woodwork. Crown White oil based Gloss.
Walls. Cross lined using Erfurt red label Lining paper Natural 1200G.
Wallpaper from Galerie.

Victorian Hallway Decorating project was completed in January 2016.
The walls were stripped of the original Wallpaper, filled and sealed then cross lined using 1200 grade lining paper followed by a base coat then 2 coats of Little Greene Intelligent Matt Emulsion.
The Woodwork was finished in Little Greene Intelligent Eggshell the same colour as the walls, Hi White.
The Wallpaper is also from Little Greene.

Walls Dulux 1200 Grade Lining Paper Little Greene Intelligent Emulsion Hi White.
Dado Little Greene Wallpaper (Carlisle Street).
